About this course
A comprehensive 9-week course designed for those who have discovered the joy of spinning and are ready to take it further. If you've learnt the basics and found yourself wondering "I can spin — now what?" — this is your next step. Over 9 progressive weeks, you'll move beyond the fundamentals and dive into the world of raw fleece processing, fibre blending, and plying techniques, before bringing it all together in a handspun yarn project that is entirely your own design.
Each week builds on the last, combining theory, hands-on practice, and a guided workbook to support you through the course and serve as a lasting reference long after it's done.
How the Course Works
This course is structured in two distinct phases, which you can join separately or together as the full 9-week experience.
Phase 1 — Spinning Deeper: Skills & Techniques takes you into the in-depth processes of spinning, fibre preparation, and plying. Phase 2 — Designing & Making Your Handspun Project is where all of those skills come to life as you design and create a handspun project that is completely your own.
Both phases are available in-store in Bairnsdale or fully online through the Creators Space. Online participants will have their workbook and hands-on practical materials posted to them and will have direct one-on-one access to Liz throughout the course via the Creators Space Online Community.
