AI Governance Framework

About this course

In a world racing towards deploying ever more AI systems, tools, and agents, it is essential for organizations — and for mission-driven non-profits in particular — to stay grounded and make sure they are the ones making strategic decisions about the direction their organizations are taking when it comes to AI and not just being passive observers of those changes. In order to have such a proactive approach towards innovation and technological change, as opposed to a reactive one, organizations have to be prepared to make informed decisions based on the organizational reality and AI governance is rapidly becoming a key component of any strategic considerations organizations are engaging in.

In this 14/20/30-hour workshop we will cover that groundwork, and make sure professionals working in and leading organizations are equipped with the necessary fundamentals for confronting and harnessing the AI revolution. Drawing on years of experience designing AI governance and AI compliance frameworks for companies and non-profit organizations alike, we will distill the most practical components that can help ground an organization quickly, even without a large budget, a dedicated compliance team, or months of lead time. Combining regulatory requirements and theoretical concepts with practical examples, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills to start building your own governance program and enabling your organization to tackle technological change and regulatory requirements strategically and intelligently.

Syllabus

This hands-on workshop will be divided into 4 main parts. Each part will consist of videos explaining the theoretical concepts as well as regulatory requirements, followed by practical examples and exercises to put the acquired knowledge to the test and employ the acquired skills.

A set of recommended/mandatory? readings is included for your reference. These readings will help deepen your understanding of the underlying concepts (but are not mandatory) for completing the coursework. We encourage you to bring with you research findings that you would like to workshop during the course so that you can work on them through our guided activities.
