The Insider ELT Exchange

About this community

Here, we exchange professional experience, question inherited ELT explanations and classroom routines, and investigate aspects of English that remain underexplored, oversimplified, or misrepresented in mainstream curricula.

Discussions may address:
* the nature and workings of English itself
* teacher blind spots and common “teacher traps”
* pedagogy, methodology, and assessment
* how language can be presented and practised more meaningfully
* ways of transferring greater responsibility to learners
* cognitive and facilitative approaches to language acquisition
* TtLM—the Teach-to-Learn Method
* practical strategies drawn from members’ own classrooms and professional experience.

The space is for inquiry, interactive discussions. (There’s no lecturing.) Members are encouraged to question, contribute, disagree constructively, test ideas, share challenges, and help shape a more reflective and effective approach to adult ELT.
