I’m a Marine Corps veteran who served from 2001–2005, including two tours in Iraq. Like many who come home, I carried a lot with me—anxiety, PTSD, and a restless mind that never really shut off. For years I tried different ways to manage it, but nothing truly grounded me.
Gardening did.
Putting my hands in the soil slowed me down. It taught me patience, consistency, and trust in the process. Watching food grow—especially when I made mistakes—gave me lessons I couldn’t learn any other way. Gardening didn’t fix everything, but it gave me a place to put the noise and turn it into something productive.
This community exists for people who want more than quick videos. It’s a space to learn deeper, ask real questions, and apply what you’re learning in your own garden. You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to be willing to show up and try.
We grow food, we learn together, and we trust the process.
