About this course
I have worked as a professional dog groomer in Ireland for over 15 years, running a mobile dog grooming business and my own salon. During my career I have come across thousands of dogs of all breeds, ages and temperaments, from puppies to seniors with sensitive skin.
During my work it has become clear to me that dog grooming is not just about clipping and bathing. It is equally important to understand a dog’s body language, to treat them appropriately and to ensure that the owner knows what they can do safely at home and when they need professional help.
That's why I created this online training and education: so that owners can receive understandable, practically tested knowledge and make more confident, conscious decisions for the well-being of their dog. Or those who are interested in dog grooming as a profession will receive real insight into the profession and clear help to confidently decide whether they are ready for this career.

I have been working with dogs for over 30 years and have gained over 10 years of experience in police dog training, where discipline, close observation and a deep understanding of dog behaviour are essential. This period has greatly contributed to my learning to recognise dogs’ signals, stress responses and true boundaries.
