About this community
This community is for middle school ELA teachers who want a place to share ideas, ask a question, and talk about the work of helping students grow as readers with other teachers who care about reading.
Our purpose is simple: to create a professional community where middle school ELA teachers can learn from and support one another.
Inside the community, you’ll find conversations about:
• Building strong and confident readers
• Independent reading and reading culture
• Strategies for supporting struggling readers
• Practical classroom ideas and professional discussions
If we haven’t met yet, I’m Carolyn Wahl. I’ve been an educator for over 25 years, most of that time teaching middle school humanities. Today I work at a local university supporting pre-service teachers.
