⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I picked up the guitar again after a layoff of about 16 years. After getting back into playing rhythm for about 6 months, and just noodling around, I decided to make the leap to lead guitar, and commit myself to becoming a better player. This is the 1st title I bought. It took me about a month and a half to learn the Natural Scale technique laid out in this title and my playing has improved 100% because of it. The other basics outlined like major scales, etc. are also hugely useful. You have to be committed to a solid practice regimen, but if you want to make the leap from a mediocre rhythm player to a well rounded lead player, I would say this book provides the first and most essential building blocks to getting there." ~David Hilton

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The most valuable lesson ever

I have never come across such a product which is more than the value that i spent on this item. If want to improve your guitar skill look no further. ~Visuvanathan (amazon review)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent method for learning the fretboard.
I purchased the Book and CD, no DVD in my set. This teaches the whole fretboard. It does so using the 3 notes per string approach as opposed to the 2 note per string or the CAGED systems. It uses the Major scale as the basis and not just the Pentatonic blues scale. It does teach with a lesser emphasis, all of the scale types, including the Pentatonic scale. If you want to learn to play lead guitar, you need to know at least 2 things. The entire fretboard as your vehicle to express the sounds that you hear in your head plus the modern guitar techniques to perform cool expressions of them (bending, slides, vibrato etc.). This book is great for learning the fretboard and briefly explains the techniques and does a great job of it. It doesn't teach you creativity. For this you need to pick up something additional like Guitar Aerobics or some other collection of licks and riffs that can teach and inspire you to create your own lead phrases. Mastering the fretboard is just REQUIRED in order to play lead guitar. For this purpose, this is the best book I've found. ~TG (amazon review)
