Em Hoten found her 'Painting Why' by going through the methods in the course "Paint From the Inside Out".
It was by going through the process that she was able to nail her artist statement, and the one throughline that just feels right about everything Em paints.
She now knows that she looks for the moment where life is stubbornly, magnificently still happening, and if this isn't in her work, it feels unfinished.
