Hi, I’m Kimberly Baust, M.Ed., and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m the founder of Young Scholar Academy and have spent over 26 years teaching elementary and middle school students in public, private, and online classrooms. Teaching has always been more than a job for me—it’s about building confidence, nurturing curiosity, and helping kids believe in themselves as learners.

Outside of teaching, I’m a wife of 31 years to a pediatrician, a mom to two grown sons, and the proud dog mom to two doodles, Maisie and Sophie. I live in Williamsburg, Virginia, and I truly believe that learning thrives in warm, supportive communities—both inside and outside the classroom.
