Life's Challenges

Humans face many challenges in life. Which may include, the stigma of having chronic or terminal illness. Many may have fears about death. Such fears may be exacerbated by lack of preparation and unresolved affairs. Anyone receiving a life limiting or terminal diagnosis may not succumb to the illness within 12 months. There could be quite a few years between diagnosis and actual death. This may give the unwell and family more time to plan. It can also cause more angst. People may not know what to expect as their illness progresses. This may be due in part to limited holistic support from practitioners and providers. People want to be heard and want more choice during their End of Life Journey. Along with clarity, comfort and assurance that they don’t have to transition to death alone. Enter a Doula, who can assist the ill, dying and families alongside their existing health care practitioners and providers.
