The enemy is a failure to spread your wings...

“The enemy is not death. The enemy is a failure to spread your wings and to recognise how amazing life is, and then to live it”! Denise Love, LifeOptions. From what I have seen and heard, it appears that, particularly in Western Society, dying is giving up and death is failure. Loved one’s of mine were afflicted with chronic illness; partly due to inadequate, medical and holistic care support. They were also subjected to less than compassionate care when dying in hospital. Such personal experiences, and seeing the shortfalls when I worked in aged, disability and community services, and in the family carer role, inspired me to become a Doula. To support and advocate, so people can receive appropriate better holistic care support, of their choosing. Love Kate www.swansongjourney.com.au
