Hi everyone — Meg here with Stand With Meg. I'm getting Kansas connected here so we can organize together outside Facebook. Thank you, Carey Ann, for bringing us into one space.

Kansas parents, advocates, and professionals: use this thread to introduce yourself. Share your first name or preferred name, your county if you're comfortable, and one way you'd like to help. Research, finding public resources, following legislation, organizing meetings, and welcoming other families all matter.

Let's start with three things:

1. Find the people who want to help in Kansas.

2. Gather useful public resources with links to the original source.

3. Choose one practical action to work on together.

Official Kansas starting points:

Kansas Legislature — bills, committees, and public schedules: https://www.kslegislature.gov/b2025_26/

Find your Kansas legislators: https://www.kslegislature.gov/b2025_26/find-my-legislators/

A separate Kansas channel still needs to be added by the group administrator. Until then, this is our Kansas starting thread in Movement Leaders.

This group is public. Please keep children's names and photos, addresses, private case documents, and other personal information out of posts and comments. When sharing information, include the source and make clear whether you're describing your own experience, a proposal, or a verified fact.

If you're here for Kansas, comment below with how you'd like to help.

— Meg
