Make It Happen Monday: The Sale Isn’t Done When They Pay

Getting the client to say yes feels like the finish line. It’s really the handoff. The Mess Someone signs up. They pay. And then... now what? Do they know what happens next? Do they have the right link? Did they get the intake form? Do they know when they’re meeting with you? Are you manually sending all of this every time and hoping you didn’t forget something? That first day as a client can either make them feel like they made a great decision... or make them start wondering what they just paid for. The Miss We spend a lot of time thinking about how to close the sale. Not nearly as much time thinking about what happens five minutes after the sale. But that’s when the client experience actually starts. The Move Build the onboarding before you need it. Decide exactly what should happen after someone becomes a client. Maybe they need: A welcome email. An intake form. A calendar link. Access to your community or course. A quick “here’s what happens next” video. It doesn’t have to be complicated. It just needs to happen the same way every time. The Machine Inside HighLevel, you can connect that whole handoff: Payment → Welcome → Intake → Calendar → Community/Course Access → Follow-Up Once someone becomes a client, the next steps can start automatically while you focus on actually serving them. Make It Happen Go through your own process today. If someone paid you right now, what would happen during the next 30 minutes? If the answer depends on you remembering what to do next, that’s probably the first thing I’d fix. And our free Business Coaching Snapshot is almost ready , with systems like this already built out.
